The Kid's Arts Academy is a creative arts group for children. All of our activities are designed and led by teacher, author of educational literature and artist Hannah Pearson who uses her experience to deliver the inspiring creative activities.

The objective of the Academy is to provide the opportunity for children to develop their artistic skills. Whilst learning new artistic techniques the children are also taught how to develop their ideas and in doing so make their imaginations become a reality.

At the heart of all of  the Kid's Arts Academy's activities there is a strong emphasis on:

• developing each child's imagination;
• exploring and developing different creative techniques ;
• exploring how different materials can be used;
• developing their vocabulary and confidence to discuss each other’s work and develop their ideas;
• practise ways into planning and developing their ideas, and reflecting on the progress of their work;
• listening to and sharing opinions on how to approach creative projects as a team; and
• create further opportunities to provide other ways in to learning.

 

We will be running a Sunday Club from the 21st December 2008 which will continue in 2009. The times of the sessions  will be 10.15AM - 12.45PM and 1PM - 3.30PM.

The activities during the Christmas school holidays will run from 10AM- 3.30PM and children can attend for as many days as required.  We will be open for the following days:

week 1	December 22nd, 23rd & 24th
week 2	December 29th & 30th
